Solano and Wagner team up to throw a no hitter against Niles North for Freshman-A

On Thursday evening in Skokie, Harrison Solano and Adam Wagner teamed up to shut out the Niles North Vikings and help propell their team to a 17-0 victory.  The Viking hitters were never really able to mount any kind of offensive effort as Solano kept their timing off balance and had excellent control.  Solano threw four innings of no-hit ball with six strikeouts and Wagner came on in relief to throw the fifth recording two strikeouts.  Solano's pitching has been a pleasant surprise and helpful for Coach Ryan Graham to add another arm to his staff.

Offensive firepower was provided throughout the lineup with Epstein and Bruhl collecting the lionshare of the hits today.  In recent games, Jared Epstein has begun to find his stroke and is seeing the ball well and driving it to the gaps strongly. Sage Bruhl has been a surprise showing greater power at the plate and driving runs in at key moments with timely hitting.  Justin Tucker has also begun to break through and making solid contact with the ball.  Today he had two hits.

It's been a real luxury for Coach Graham to have a team that consistently delivers high run production because it gives him the luxury of playing everyone during games.  In addition, he is able to give different players a starting opportunity depending on the opponent and the game scoring situation.
