Gear for Goals Teams Up with Local Youth for Big Event with Schaumburg Boomers

On Friday, June 21st, Gear for Goals (G4G) was the proud receipient of some of the brightest and most dynamic talent in Northbrook.  Working with Lyndsay Kuper and Elyse Kuper, Gear for Goals was able to assimilate remarkable dance talent to perform a dynamic flash mob experience.  Both Kuper girls are students at Glenbrook North High School and pom girls on the Varsity Pom Team.  Lindsay worked with Glenbrook North Alum, Ms. Jennifer Eirenberg in creating a unique dance mix that engaged the crowd and gained reconition for Gear for Goals.

In addition to the Kuper girls performance and leadership during this event, their younger brother Jared was on on hand to provide the ceremonial first pitch at the Schaumburg Boomers game and offer support to the millions of children around the world who live with little or no hope.  Jared serves as Youth Sports Ambassador for Gear for Goals and also provides remarkable leadership for the American Diabetes Association raising millions of dollars to find a cure.

Gear for Goals was established in 2012 and has had a remarkable impact in a short time already.  In only this brief time, they have delivered sport to twelve nations and served the needs of over 7500 children.  Among the special highlights of the past year, has been the introduction of baseball as a new sport in Kenya to the Maasai tribes and  to people in Guatemala.  In addition, Gear for Goals has introduced the Compassion Associate program, whereby anyone traveling to any foreign destination where a  need for sport and the arts exists because children have a significant lack,  may secure needed equipment and take it along on a trip to donate.

Gear for Goals is well on their way to making good on their goal to bring sport to 10,000 children internationally and is working toward their fund raising efforts of also raising $10,000 to help ship gear, educate, and teach children how to play sports and music.

Gear for Goals is project of the non-profit, Dreamweaver International and can be found on the web at:  www.dreamweaver911.org.  Donations of new and used sports equipment and musical instruments can be made by contacting Dr. Warren Bruhl:  dr.bruhl@dreamweaver911.org.  Financial donations can be made online:  www.dreamweaver911.org
