Many Faiths, Many Houses Of Worship

Biannual interfaith celebration brings together residents of all religions.

Churches, synagogues and other houses of worship opened their doors Sunday for the biannual Northbrook Interfaith Walk hosted by the Community Relations Commission along with the Northbrook Clergy Association.

Beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the , participants could pick up their "passport," a guidebook containing a map of and information about the various houses of worship on the route. Between 1 and 4 p.m., residents could drive, walk, or bike from one place to the next. At each site on the walk guests had an opportunity to talk with leaders and members of the different congregations and tour the facilities.

When the day was over, everyone gathered at for a final celebration with games, Northbrook trivia, and snacks and refreshments.
