Warren Bruhl started Gear for Goals, which collects athletic equipment for children in Kenya and Dominican Republic.

A Northbrook chiropractor has been collecting athletic equipment from his friends to donate to children from around the world, Chicago Tribune reported.

Warren Bruhl started Gear for Goals, to collect baseball bats and mitts during a mission trip to the Dominican Republic in the fall of 2011, now he’s expanding to the organization’s efforts to the Maasai in Kenya, Chicago Tribune reported.

Bruhl, a Patch blogger, previously shared his experience adjusting the Maasai during a trip in December 2012.
