Traffic Alert: Lake Cook Road Lane Closure

Motorists may want to plan an alternate route on Monday and possibly even Tuesday of next week.

Motorists driving on Lake Cook Road Monday morning should expect delays--or find an alternate route.

The Cook County Highway Department has notified the Village of Deerfield that paving of the final section of Lake Cook Road is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 31. It will likely end by 7 p.m., according to the Highway Department.

As it has been all summer, traffic will continue to be reduced to one lane in each direction during the final day of construction. However, motorists are warned that traffic may occasionally come to a complete stop as concrete trucks enter and leave the work site.
