Congregation Beth Shalom Hosts JUF Event with New York Times legal affairs correspondent

Congregation Beth Shalom hosts a brunch supporting the 2013 Jewish United Fund-Israel Emergency Fund.


The event will feature Ethan Bronner discussing “Looking Back and Thinking Ahead on Journalism, Objectivity, and the Middle East.” Bronner is the national legal affairs correspondent for The New York Times, having completed four years as the paper’s Jerusalem bureau chief last May. Prior, he had been the paper’s deputy foreign editor for four years, focusing on the Middle East. He is the former Middle East correspondent for The Boston Globe and deputy Jerusalem bureau chief for Reuters news agency.


The event is co-chaired by Lorraine and Frank Horwitz of Morton Grove, and Sandee & Larry Levin, Northbrook.
