Great Skating Giveaway

Children can experience the excitement of ice skating for the first time during the Great Skating Giveaway from the Northbrook Park District on Saturday, December 1. Children, ages 3 and older, can attend one of two free classes at the Northbrook Sports Center to see if they are ready for figure skating or hockey lessons.

Before stepping onto the ice to learn basic skating skills from the professional staff, the children will learn how to lace their skates and practice the correct way to fall and get up. The free classes are from 1:30-2pm and 2:15-2:45pm.

Families can sign up at nbparks.org, the Northbrook Sports Center or the Leisure Center. Registration is first-come, first-served, as space is limited. For more information, call 847-291-2993.
