This year, students, families, teachers, alumni, and friends
from the community will celebrate with an “Irish Fest,” complete with a silent
auction, raffle, dinner and Irish step dancers.
The annual fundraiser, now in its 31st year, will take place
in the school’s gymnasium (Grace Lutheran Church 2245 Walters Avenue).
Anyone who wants to support the Northbrook community is welcome; tickets can be
purchased for $10 per person at the door.

The
silent auction has some great prizes this year from vendors around Northbrook,
and includes items such as a Chicago Bulls box, American Girl Doll, Ravinia
package and more.  There is also a 50/50
raffle and bake sale.  Unlike many other school fundraisers, the Mustard
Seed Art Fair students attend the event and display their individual art to
family and friends.  Along with showing off their class art projects,
children will enjoy arts and crafts and dancing.

All
proceeds from this event support educational programs, school improvements, and
supplement student tuition.   It also provides scholarships to
students who otherwise would be unable to attend pre-school. The fundraising
committee is very grateful to the local businesses for their generous support
through their tax-deductible donations of food and auction/raffle items.
