SEND KIDS OFF TO COLLEGE SAFE & STYLISH: COLLEGE BOUND SAFE & SOUND AND CAMPUS COLORS TEAM UP TO OFFER COLLEGE SAFETY CLASS

HIGHLAND PARK, IL (JUNE
24, 2014) –
As summer is in full swing and college students are home on
break, there is no better time to learn the proper skills to stay safe and
avoid becoming a victim of a campus crime. College Bound Safe & Sound
was created to do just that, addressing the startling statistics of crimes on
campus, and teaching students and parents how to face these situations smartly
and safely. The first in an ongoing series of classes will be held Thursday,
July 10th from 7-9pm at the Recreation Center of Highland Park (1207
Park Avenue West).

Highland Park-based Campus
Colors
is teaming up with College Bound Safe & Sound to send kids off
to college safe AND stylish. As Chicagoland’s top collegiate retailer, they
will be offering those who attend the class $5 off a purchase of $10 or more at
one of their five locations including: Downtown Highland Park, Kildeer,
Hinsdale, Chicago’s Water Tower Place, and the newly opened store in Mequon,
WI.

ABOUT CAMPUS
COLORS

It all began in the
summer of 1989. While driving back from vacation, Neil Rubenstein's two sons
wanted to stop in Ann Arbor, MI to get official sweatshirts and football
jerseys from the University of Michigan. An hour later with $250 worth of newly
acquired sweatshirts, t-shirts, shorts and jerseys packed into the trunk of the
car the family returned to the road to finish the drive back to suburban
Chicago. While on the drive, Neil thought to himself, "If my kids want
this stuff so bad that I have to drive an hour out of our way, there have got
to be more kids like mine and more parents willing to do the same." It was
at that time that the idea for Campus Colors was born.

Campus Colors was started
in 1991 with the premise of bringing authentic college bookstore merchandise to
suburban Chicago. The idea was simple: rather than travel to your favorite
college to get merchandise to support your favorite school, Campus Colors would
bring the merchandise of the school to you. What started out as a small retail
store free standing commercial building that resembled a fraternity house on a
college campus, Campus Colors has grown into a family run chain with locations
throughout the Chicagoland area and now Mequon, WI. With the addition of Pro
Colors, Campus Colors is able to offer favorite pro team merchandise, too.

Campus Colors has four locations in Illinois: Chicago’s
Water Tower Place, Downtown Highland Park, Hinsdale, and Kildeer, and one in
Wisconsin: Mequon. For more information, visit the website at www.CampusColors.com or call
866-598-2267.
