Skin of Steel's Rock Out Melanoma Battle of the Bands

Skin of Steel, a Glenview-based nonprofit focused on melanoma research and advocacy, will host its first major fundraiser to benefit a national Melanoma Tissue Bank network with a branch at Northwestern University's Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center in Chicago.  The "Rock Out Melanoma Battle of the Bands" fundraiser will be held on March 8, 2014 at Fields Volvo in Northfield from 7:30 pm to midnight.  Featured bands include local favorites, Who's Your Daddy?, PopRocks and Loose Change.

Melanoma is the fastest growing cancer in the world, claiming one life every hour.  Skin of Steel's mission is to make Chicago acenter of excellence for melanoma research and treatment.
