The Surrealist World of Rene Magritte

The
paintings of Belgian surrealist Rene Magritte have fascinated viewers since
before the Second World War. Many find Magritte's works as intellectually
challenging as they are visually appealing. In this slide lecture, art
historian Jeff Mishur discusses Magritte's relationship to the Surrealist
movement and places a variety of his paintings in an appropriate historic
context.
