Theater Outing with NCJW to "Nickel and Dimed"

Join the National Council of Jewish Women's Chicago North Shore Section (NCJW) at Greenhouse theatre for this vivid, witty, and deeply sobering stage adaptation of Barbara Ehrenreich’s best-seller about a journalist who takes a series of minimum wage jobs as a waitress, maid and retail worker, and in the process learns just how hard it is for the working poor to make ends meet.

Nickel and Dimed, directed by NCJW section memberDani Snyder-Young, opens up a productive conversation about class, a taboosocial topic with middle class audiences.  Come early for wine and discussion before the performance with the play’s director, Dani Snyder-Young,and Rabbi Ali Abrams, Director of Organizing at Jewish Council on Urban Affairs(JCUA). The performance begins at 8:00 p.m.
