"Up for Discussion" After Visiting Friends: A Son's Story by Michael Hainey

"Up for Discussion" is a new book group that will explore a variety of nonfiction selections - biography, history, social issues and others with a lively discussion, led by librarians Lori Siegel and Kara Giles. 

The first selection is After Visiting Friends by Michael Hainey, a memoir tracing the author's investigation into the mystery of his father's sudden death, describing his father's achievements as a reporter, inconsistencies in his father's medical records, and the honor code of secrecy that challenged his research. Hainey was born and raised in Chicago. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the 3rd floor Readers Services Desk.
