Not for the Faint of Heart: A Guide to Fear City

Don't let the decaying, post-apocalyptic streets of Fear City fool you, this hidden treasure is autumn's must-see vacation destination. 

Cross the city in a state-of-the-art subway, decorated with the freshest hanging meat bags. 

Got invited into someone's home? Anyone with red hair and freckles will love showing you around their place. Take a minute to glance through their hordes of trinkets, you might even find something worth buying buried in that busted up old car in the living room. 

Stop by the haunted Mexican circus for a glimpse of Fear City's ethnic community. The illuminated dayglow go-go dancers can be a bit distracting, so don't overlook the little ghouls darting around you. 

In town on a Sunday? The local church is always open to visitors eager to repel any sin festering inside them.

Discophiles can even get their dance on in the dark, strobe lit rooms, featuring the latest, droning, ambient noise! Don't flail around too much, you never know when an androgynous, monochrome figure will appear in front of you.

Assuming you don't catch one of Fear City's flesh eating viruses, you can hop on a flight out of town from our bustling airport. Yes those flight attendants are mannequins! No, we don't know what you saw moving in the corner of your eye.

Opening Night for the third season of “Fear City Chicago Haunted House” begins on Friday, Oct. 4 at 7:00 p.m. through midnight. The haunted house is open through November 2 for just 19 performance days (each weekend in October and more weekdays later in the month nearing Halloween).
