Ever got the feeling, as you were flipping through your hundreds of channel selections on cable or Netflix, that there was just nothing good on? For 1 in 30 Americans who are blind or have visual impairments, the choice of media that's accessible is just a fraction of everybody else's.
The award-winning Chicago-based documentary production company Kartemquin Films (The Interrupters, Hoop Dreams) is working to change that by including an audio track to describe details of a scene in their documentaries.
