Good News for the Real Estate Market in Northbrook

2012 is off to a good start! An encouraging sign for the real estate market in Northbrook occurred this week. See what it is!

Just what you were waiting to hear!! A house sold in Northbrook for $1,825,000 this past week. That is $300,000 more than the highest priced house sold in all of Northbrook last year.

As I've written before, if your house is priced correctly, and it shows great... there is a good chance your house will sell relatively quickly. Recently, homes have been flying off the market within a week or two. Here is an interesting article that was written by the Associated Press this week.

In suburban Washington, D.C., Rory Obletz and his wife have been saving to buy after renting for six years. Obletz, 27, failed in two previous bids for single-family homes. He's hoping a third bid — about $10,000 above the asking price of $399,000 for a home in Silver Spring, Md. — will succeed this month.

"One home we went to, it was under contract by the time we walked out of the house," Obletz said. "If you really want to get something, you don't have a lot of time to think about it."
