Northbrook Community Nursery School is so excited to share Teacher Buzz with the Patch community. Teacher Buzz is a blog written each month by one of our fabulous teachers. Our teachers use this opportunity to share with you their favorite things to do with preschoolers. It could be a much loved recipe, a craft idea or even a cool science experiment.

This issue of Teacher Buzz is brought to you by Cynthia Pollack, who teaches the 3-day 3’s (Dolphin) class and the 4/5-day 4’s (Panda) class.  There’s nothing more rewarding than encouraging children to be excited about reading.  This is tne way to bring some added fun to reading.  Create a special reading cave by placing a blanket over a table. Two children (or mom or dad and child) can go into the cave with two flashlights and read a book together.  It was such a big hit for the children in our classroom that we had to use the timer so all the children could have a turn.  This is a great way to get children to enjoy reading books.
