Bernice Saks, Former Northbrook Resident, Dies at 87

Bernice “Bea” Saks nee Hodes, a Highland Park resident formerly of Northbrook, died Sunday. She was 87. 

Saks was the loving wife and best friend of the late Ray Saks, cherished mother of Arnie, Bob (Melissa) and Jori (Dr. Stephen Rheinstrom) Saks and the devoted mother in law of Mary Lynn Saks. She was also the proud nana of Steven (Jennifer) Saks, Niki Saks, Lauren Saks David Rheinstrom and Julie Rheinstrom as well as the dear cousin of Alon (Debby Oshri) Pintel. 

Graveside services are scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Shalom (II Makpela), 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. 

Memorials in her memory to JNF (Jewish National Fund), 60 Revere Drive, Suite 960, Northbrook, IL, 60062 would be appreciated.
