Why I Support Alyssa Knobel for City Council

A Patch reader explains why she is supporting one of the six candidates vying for three seats on the Highland Park City Council.

While it may seem a little early to be talking about our April elections, it's just that I can't contain my enthusiasm for Highland Park City Council candidate Alyssa Knobel.

Earlier: City Council Candidates Already Campaigning

Why? Because of the enthusiasm Alyssa brings to everything she does -- especially the countless volunteer activities I and others have been involved in with her. And it's because of Alyssa's dedication to improving the vitality of our city through her volunteer work as the Chair of the Business & Economic Development Commission (BEDC).

It's also because of her willingness, without hesitation, to seek answers to the questionsthat we, her many friends and neighbors, regularly come to her with regarding our community. And if Alyssa can't answer it herself, she knows how to find the person who can!

Finally, Alyssa's broad working knowledge of our city,  along with her desire to listen, learn and take action, will make her an excellent addition to our fine City Council. I invite you over the next few months to learn more about Alyssa's qualifications and by April I know you will be as enthusiastic as I am in supporting and voting for Alyssa Knobel for Highland Park City Council!

I'm supporting Carolyn Cerf because she does many activities in Highland Park. She attends city council meetings to keep up to date on the goings on of the city. She also volunteers with CERT, the Community Emergency Response Team, and does activities with The Rotary Club.
