$1,700 in Bras Stolen from Northbrook Store

Thirty-four bras were stolen.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

RETAIL THEFT

A manager for a store in the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road reported that approximately 34 bras, worth $1,768, were stolen from the store April 4 just before 9 p.m. Loss Prevention personnel for the store along with police are reviewing surveillance camera video.                                           

DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE

Luis Lara-Sanchez, 38 of Highland Park, was stopped April 5 at 1:30 a.m. at Dundee and Waukegan roads for a traffic violation. Officer’s learned that the defendant’s Illinois driver’s license was suspended. He was transported to the police station, processed and released on $1,500 bond with a May 22 court date. 

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

Three areas of plastic covered metal grates in the 1800 block of Milton Ave. were reported damaged April 4 by burning the plastic covering exposing the metal. There was no estimate of cost to repair.         

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

An officer observed a vehicle parked in the parking lot of a park in the 1700 block of Techny Road after the park had closed. In speaking to the vehicle occupant, Mihail K. Kostadinov, 24, of Northbrook, the officer smelled cannabis and discovered drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. He cited under Village ordinance and released at scene with a May 22 court date.
