Algonquin Woman's Life Saved by Crystal Lake Man During Movie Shooting

Julia Vojtsek was in Colorado visiting her father when she went to see a midnight showing of Batman; she says John T. Larimer of Crystal Lake shielded her during the attack, the "Daily Herald" reports.

Julia Vojtsek of Algonquin says her life was saved by the heroic actions of John T. Larimer, a Crystal Lake native, who died during a shooting at a Colorado movie theater, the Daily Herald Reports.

Vojtsek was reportedly visiting her father in Colorado when she went to the July 20, midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado with Larimer, the article reports.

The woman told News Radio 780 WBBM that when the gunshots erupted, Larimer acted as a human shied, and he is the reason she survived.
