When a was robbed just after noon Monday in unincorporated Glenview, sheriff’s deputies called in Melanie, a 4-year-old bloodhound.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the bank, 2610 Golf Road, recorded video surveillance of the robber, who said he had a weapon and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no reported injuries, the story said.

On the scene, Melanie gathered the robber’s scent, the Tribune reports.

Maybe the Glenview Police Dept. should see if Melanie has any sisters or brother that may be looking for a new home. If not, they should put a reservation in for an offspring should Melanie take time off to become a mommy!
