Blotter: 2 Arrested for DUI; $9,000 Mink Stolen

Driving Under the Influence
Sviatlana Varabei, 24, of Skokie, was stopped for a traffic violation, arrested, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and two counts of improper lane usage at Waukegan Road and Three Lakes Drive Saturday, March 10, according to
Inna Karpov, 38, of Buffalo Grove, was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested Saturday, March 10, at Dundee Road and Portwine Lane, according to police. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and three counts of improper lane usage. She was also issued tickets for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Driving With A Revoked or Suspended License
Daniel Juarez, 21, of Wheeling, was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a license and driving with improper lighting at Dundee and Shermer roads Monday, March 5, according to police.

Antonio Garcia-Bravo, 29, of North Chicago, was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested Monday, March 5, at Dundee and Midway roads. He was charged with driving with a revoked license, driving without insurance and two counts of improper lane usage, police reported.
Matthew L. Dillard, 24, of Northbrook, was arrested and charged with driving with a revoked license in the 1400 block of Shermer Road Wednesday, March 7, according to police.
Jeffrey D. Korey, 32, of Northbrook, was arrested Friday, March 9, in the 1600 block of Seton Drive, according to police. He was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving with expired registration, driving without proof of insurance and fleeing or attempting to elude police.
$9,000 Mink Coat Stolen From Clover Road Home
A mink coat worth $9,000 was stolen from a Clover Road home while the owner was having a sale attended by several dozen people Saturday, March 10, according to police.
Laptops Lifted From Best Buy
Two empty laptop boxes were found in an aisle near the back of Best Buy Monday, March 5, according to police. An unidentified man was caught on surveillance video putting the laptops in his cart, heading to the back of the store and then leaving Best Buy.
Wallet Stolen, Credit Cards Used
A man’s wallet was stolen after he accidentally left it on the table at the BP on Willow Road Tuesday, March 6. When he went to cancel his credit cards, his bank informed him that someone had already used them to make purchases online, police reported.
Handicapped Sticker Stolen
Someone stole a handicapped placard from a car while it was parked near Whole Foods, according to police.
