Blotter: 7 DUI Arrests, Including 16-Year-Old Boy

The police report incidents that occur from Aug. 15-21.

The items below came from Northbrook Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Driving Under the Influence

Christine M. Kloepfer, 30, of Northbrook, was stopped for a traffic violation Aug. 20, at Shermer Road and Cherry Lane. She was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and parking in the roadway 50 feet from train tracks, according to police.

Cale H. Piepenburg, 24, of Chicago, was stopped for a traffic violation at Dundee Road and Oakleaf Terrace on Aug. 20. She was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and two counts of improper lane usage, according to police.

Israel Romero-Bahena, 28, of Wheeling, was stopped for a traffic violation Aug. 20, at Dundee and Sanders roads. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, two counts of improper lane usage, following other vehicles too closely and driving without a valid license, according to police.

Ruben Montoya, 20, of Northbrook, was arrested Aug. 21 at Willow Road and Founders Drive and charged with driving under the influence of drugs. He was also charged with driving with a suspended license, driving without proof of insurance and two counts of improper lane usage, according to police.

Raul T. Marroquin-Tejeda, 31, of Wheeling, was arrested at Landwehr and Willow roads and charged with driving under the influence, driving without a valid license and two counts of speeding, according to police.

Clara Rodriguez, 21, of Waukegan, was arrested Aug. 21 at Exeter Lane and Wellesley Circle and charged with driving under the influence, driving an uninsured vehicle, making an improper turn and speeding, according to police.

A 16-year-old Northbrook boy was arrested Aug. 21 at Meadow Road and Thornwood Lane. He was charged with driving under the influence, driving under the influence of drugs, disobeying a traffic control device, speeding, violating curfew and driving with too many passengers in the car for someone holding a graduated driver's license, according to police.

Underage Drinking

After receiving a report that someone had fallen to the ground on Henry Way, police found three Northbrook teens drinking alcohol on the block. An officer issued tickets to two 17-year-old boys and an 16-year-old boy on charges of underage drinking.

Domestic Battery

A 42-year-old Itasca man was arrested on charges of domestic battery Aug. 20, according to police.

Reckless Driving

After a man reported seeing a car drive over his lawn Aug. 19, officers arrested the vehicle's operator, Brian R. Cirrincione, 22, of Northbrook, on charges of reckless driving.  

Car Stolen From Northbrook Court Lot

A man parked his car in the Northbrook Court lot at 9:50 a.m. Aug. 17, and returned about 1:30 p.m. to find it missing, according to police. The driver told police that he had the only set of keys to the car and that there is no lien on his vehicle.

Man Caught Stealing Vodka

William Haberland, 52, of Lake Forest, was arrested and charged with retail theft Aug. 19 after he allegedly fled with a bottle of vodka from the Sunset Foods store, police reported. He was caught and held until police arrived to arrest him. 

Car Burglary

A portable CD player, Garmin GPS device and 10 DVDs were stolen from a car parked on Dell Road on Aug. 19, according to police. The loss was estimated at $600.

Three catalytic convertors were cut and removed from work trucks parked on Carlson Drive between Aug. 15 and 16, according to police. The loss was estimated at $3,000.

Stolen Bicycle, Flags

A red and black Specialized Rockhopper bicycle worth $300 was stolen from the side of a residence on Shannon Road between Aug. 15 and 20, according to police.

Four flags and three poles were stolen from a property on Techny Road between Aug. 17 and 18, according to police. The loss was estimated at $250.
