Too Fast to Catch
Police attempted to pull over a motorcyclist Aug. 31 at Dundee and Pfingsten roads after noticing blue neon or LED lighting in front. Instead of pulling to the side of the road, the driver made a U-turn and headed east on Dundee. Police said the biker's top speed was recorded on radar at 106 mph as she crossed Waukegan Road before the vehicle headed east on Interstate Highway 94.

DUI Arrests

Serhiy Musyakevych of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence Sept. 4. Police stopped him for failing to signal, making an improper turn and using lanes improperly. Afterward, Musyakevych was uncooperative, but was released on $3,000 bond, police reported.

Police charged Jorie A. Chroman of Buffalo Grove with driving under the influence after she was stopped for improper lane usage Sept. 5 at Pfingsten Road and the Mews. When she became ill at the police station, Chroman was transported to Glenbrook Hospital and later returned to the station for processing. She was released on $1,000 bond.
Drug Possession Arrest
At Pfingsten Road and The Mews on Sept. 5, police arrested Jesus J. Morales of Buffalo Grove for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on $1,000 bond.
Razor Blade Theft
Police responded to a call Aug. 29 at the CVS drugstore on Willow, where employees suspected a man was stealing razor blades. The suspect left the store on foot and headed east on Willow Road, police reported. A second suspect got in a beige minivan and drove toward Willow. An inventory was conducted after the event and $900 worth of razor blades was missing, according to the report.
Speeding With Weed
John B. Mulhall of Northbrook was stopped by police Aug. 30 for driving more than 40 mph over the speed limit on Lee Road. When police searched his vehicle, they found cocaine and marijuana. Mulhall was taken to Skokie Court for a bond hearing.
Nearly $10,000 Fraud
A resident of the 600 block of Dundee Road reported an unauthorized wire transfer of $9,800 from a personal bank account.
Stolen Shades
Louis Vuitton employees reported to police that two pairs of sunglasses valued at $1,060 had been stolen from their store in Northbrook Court.
The above items are from Northbrook Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
