Blotter: Driver Under the Influence, Heads Into Oncoming Traffic; Teens Fight at GBN

 Driver Charged With DUI After Driving Into Oncoming Traffic

Phillip A. Sales, 19, of Northbrook, was arrested after police received several calls about a car driving into oncoming traffic and not stopping at red lights, according to police. He was charged with reckless driving and driving under the influence of drugs.

Teen Issued Ticket For Battery After Fight at GBN

A sixteen-year-old went up to another student at Glenbrook North on Thursday, April 12, and hit him in the face before staff members pulled him away, according to police. He was issued a local ordinance ticket for battery.

Driver Arrested On Two Outstanding Warrants

Enrique Arroyo, 52, of Chicago, was stopped for a traffic violation at Dundee Road and Sutton Drive Saturday, April 14. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and two outstanding warrants, one for driving with a revoked license and one for driving under the influence, according to police. 

Vehicle Owner Doesn’t Pay $2,000 Mechanic Bill

The owner of an auto body shop in the 1800 block of Holste Road reported that someone had $2,358 worth of work done on their vehicle in January but never paid the bill, police reported. 

$600 Stolen Coat

Someone stole a $600 coat from a building in the 800 block of Sunset Ridge Road on Tuesday, April 10, according to police.

Trespasser Digs Trench

A resident of the 4000 block of Noble Court reported that someone entered her backyard over the weekend of April 11 and dug a trench roughly 6 feet long and one-and-a-half feet wide, police reported. 

Wallet Stolen On Terri-Lyn

A woman’s wallet went missing from her purse while she had workers at her home in the 4200 block of Terri-Lyn Lane Friday, April 13, according to police. 

Driver’s Side Mirror Damaged

The driver’s side mirror of a car parked in the 1600 block of Walters Avenue was damaged on Thursday, April 12, according to police.

Teens Shoplift Liquor From Dominick’s

A 17-year-old boy from Rolling Meadows, a 17-year-old boy from Arlington Heights and a 19-year-old boy from Arlington Heights were issued tickets for shoplifting Friday, April 13, after they were caught on surveillance video hiding bottles of liquor under their shirts at Dominick’s and leaving without paying, according to police.

Vandalism on Illinois Road

Police observed fresh paint on the east wall of a building in the 1600 block of Illinois Road on Wednesday, April 11.
