Blotter: DUI, Burglaries On Crestwood And Glendale

The following arrest information was supplied by the Northbrook Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

WARRANT ARREST

Miguel A. Gonzalez, 43, of Northfield, was arrested on a warrant from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office at Sunset Ridge and Pebblebrook roads Thursday, Nov. 17. He was also charged with driving with a revoked license and improper lighting, according to police.

Robert F. McIntyre, 43, of Northbrook, was stopped for a traffic violation at Shermer and Angle roads Sunday, Nov. 13, according to police. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving with one taillight, improper lane usage and driving without insurance. 

TEENS CAUGHT WITH CANNABIS

Police caught a 15-year-old and 16-year-old boy from Wilmette smoking marijuana at Willow Hill Golf Course on Friday, Nov. 18. An officer noticed their car inside the gates of the golf course, and smelled marijuana. One of the teens admitted that they were smoking in the car, and the officer discovered a green, leafy substance in the glove compartment, according to police. They were released to their parents without charges because they cooperated, police reported.

A police officer saw a vehicle near the park in the 1800 block of Milton Avenue Saturday, Nov. 19, and discovered a 17-year-old girl from Northbrook inside with a marijuana grinder and two pipes. She turned the drug paraphernalia over to the officer and was issued a local ordinance ticket for possession of cannabis, according to police.

BURGLARY

Someone entered a home in the 2000 block of Glendale Avenue and stole a purse hanging on a banister near the door sometime between 9:15 and 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, according to police. Inside where cash, credit cards and miscellaneous papers. 

Someone broke a car window and stole a purse left on the seat of a car parked at the Wednesday, Nov. 16, according to police.

An electrician’s trailer was broken into at a construction site in the 1900 block of Alexandra sometime during the night of Friday, Nov. 18, according to police. No items are yet known to be missing.

Someone stole a safe containing jewelry and a gold Austrian coin from a home in the 1300 block of Crestwood Drive during the night of Friday, Nov. 18, according to police. An officer discovered pry marks on two sliding glass doors and a dining room window.

DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE

Cynthia I. Torres, 42, of Chicago, was stopped for a traffic violation at the Citgo in the 2800 block of Dundee Road Tuesday, Nov. 15, according to police. She was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license.

DRIVING WITH A REVOKED LICENSE

Alejandro Garcia-Macedo, 36, of Prospect Heights, was arrested Thursday, Nov. 17, at Walters Avenue and Pfingsten Road and charged with driving with a revoked license, improper lane usage, driving without insurance and driving without an issued license, according to police.

Ernest Sanders, 41, of Chicago, was stopped for not having a rear registration plate light Friday, Nov. 18, at Dundee Road and Ash Lane, according to police. He was charged with driving with a revoked license.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD

Someone made an unauthorized ATM withdrawal of $163 in the 3000 block of Dundee Road Wednesday, Nov. 16, according to police.

RETAIL THEFT AT LORD & TAYLOR

Carlos A. Morales, 18, of Waukegan, was arrested and charged with retail theft after he allegedly attempted to steal $60 worth of merchandise from in Northbrook Court on Saturday, Nov. 19, according to police.

STOLEN PHONE, GPS

A woman reported that her iPhone was stolen in the 100 block of Skokie Boulevard Friday, Nov. 18, according to police.

A Garmin GPS worth $250 was stolen from a car parked in the 800 block of Cedar Lane Saturday, Nov. 19, according to police.

VANDALISM VIA PAINTBALLS AND EGGS

Someone hit two climbing walls with paintballs and destroyed a homemade bench in the 1400 block of Voltz Road Monday, Nov. 14, according to police.

Someone threw eggs at a home in the 2300 block of Brentwood Lane Saturday, Nov. 18, according to police.

CARS GET KEYED

Someone keyed a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Huehl Road on Wednesday, Nov. 16, according to police.

Someone made a roughly two-foot long scratch on the driver’s side front fender of a vehicle parked in the 3000 block of Plum Island Drive the night of Thursday, Nov. 17, according to police.
