The items below come from Northbrook Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Fraud

Victor J. Chrzastowski, 20, was stopped by police during an investigation on Feb. 27, and according to the report he was in possession of a lost or stolen credit card. Chrzastowski is set to appear in court March 22.

Theft

A Glenbrook North senior reported that three weeks prior to filing the report on March 14, someone stole her white Betsy Johnson analog watch valued at $200.

Theft of Gas

Officers responded to a report of theft at the Citgo gas station in the 500 block of Dundee Road on March 14 around 7 p.m. According to the report, two unknown males pumped $23.07 worth of gas into a blue four door compact vehicle with no license plates and left the area.

Theft

A woman reported her wallet was stolen while she was shopping at Marshalls in the 100 block of Skokie Road on March 14. According to the report, her card was used at a Target store in Highland Park before she cancelled it.

Vandalism

A complaint of graffiti containing racist and anti-semitic language at the Meadowbrook School playground was reported on March 14.

Suspended Driver

Officers stopped Moises Sanchez-Lopez, 42, Deerfield, for a traffic violation in the 900 block of Dundee Road on March 15. According to the report, he was arrested for a having a suspended driver’s license. His court date is set for April 5.

Criminal Damage to Property

Officers observed a bent street sign at the intersection of Moon Hill and Landwehr Roads on March 16. According to the report, officers brought the sign to the police department and completed a work order.

DUI

Thomas E. Haugen, 50, Chicago, was stopped in the 600 block of Dundee Road and according to the report he was arrested for driving under the influence on March 16 around 4 p.m. Haugen’s court date is set for April 21.

Vandalism

A resident in the 1400 block of Shermer Road reported that an unknown person cut her cable wire and disconnected it from the box, according to the report filed on March 16.

Drug Possession

Cameron D. Carlsen, 25, Dundee, was stopped for a traffic violation on March 16 around 8 p.m. in the 1800 block of Pfingsten Road. According to the report, he was arrested for drug possession. Carlsen’s court date is set for April 29.

Deceptive Practice

An 80-year-old resident sent $16,000 following the request of two different people who told her she won the lottery and needed to cover an expense before the money could be sent. According to the report, filed on March 18 at the residence in the 400 block of Banyan Drive.

Possession of Cannabis and Alcohol

An officer was patrolling the area near Voltz and Waukegan Roads on March 18 when he approached three subjects walking down the street. Upon approaching the subjects one fled the area. According to the report the three young males were apprehended and arrested for possession of cannabis and alcohol.

Cooper S. Rushing, 18, Northbrook was charged with consumption of alcohol and his court date is set for April 21.

Criminal Damage of Property

A resident in the 1700 block of Happ Road reported that her mailbox was damaged sometime between 3 and 4 p.m. on March 18. According to the report, black paint was left on the white mailbox as well as a plastic car part.

Theft

After having friends over on the night of March 17, a resident in the 2300 block of Dehne Road reported that someone stole prescribed medication from her medicine cabinet.
