Burglar Caught Inside Home On Adelaide; Ridgewood Residence Ransacked

Three burglaries took place in Northbrook between July 17 and 21, according to police.

Three burglaries took place in Northbrook last week, including one on Adelaide Drive in which the burglar was spotted running away.

IPOD AND CASH LIFTED ON ELM
A resident of Elm Avenue reported that someone entered his or her home through the garage Sunday, July 17, and took cash and an iPod, according to police.

JEWELRY STOLEN IN RIDGEWOOD RANSACKING
A resident of Ridgewood Drive reported finding a window open and the screen lying on the ground, according to police. Inside, bedrooms were ransacked and an unknown amount of jewelry was stolen during a burglary that happened sometime between Sunday, July 17, and Tuesday, July 19.

WOMAN CATCHES BURGLAR IN HER HOME ON ADELAIDE
A resident of Adelaide Drive heard noises coming from the first floor of her home Thursday, July 21, according to police. She walked downstairs to see what it was and saw a man in his 20s in her kitchen, near her sliding glass doors. When he saw her, the man ran away through her doors. Police checked the area for the subject and determined that her laptop computer was missing.
