Chocolate Vandalism and Burglary Reports
Also featured in this week's police blotter: three traffic arrests in one week.
The following reports were provided by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt.
Vandalism
On March 16, someone on the 2500 block of Illinois Road reported an unknown person used chocolate syrup to write words on the driveway, according to police.

Burglary
On March 11, someone on the 4000 block of Dundee Road reported their business was burglarized when an unknown person broke a door padlock, went inside, opened a safe and took money, according to police. Nothing else appeared missing, police say.

On March 11, someone on the 1800 block of Techny Road reported an unknown person removed padlocks from storage lockers and removed a Dolma chainsaw in an orange case worth about $275.00, two orange Tanaka hedgers worth about $200.00 each, an orange Stihl chain saw worth about $275.00 and a Red Max blower worth about $200.00 according to police.
Suspended Driver's License
On March 14, Ahmed Saleh, 21, of Northbrook, was charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to wear a seat belt during a traffic stop near Cherry Lane and Meadow Road, according to police. He was arrested and released on bond, police say.
On March 15, John Bernard, 21, of Northbrook, was charged with driving with a suspended license and disobeying a red light after an officer saw him running a red light, according to police.
No Driver's License
On March 10, Mario Marban, 62, of Northfield, was charged with driving without a valid license after being in a car accident, according to police. Marban called the police and said he was driving southbound on Sunset Ridge when a red minivan crossed into his lane and hit his vehicle, causing him to crash into a tree, police say.
