ComEd Worker Shocked by Electricity on Pfingsten

The workers equipment made contact with a 7,200 volt transmission line. He was transported to a hospital in good condition.

A ComEd worker was transported to the hospital in good condition after he was shocked by electricity while doing maintenance on Pfingsten Road, Friday.

The Northbrook Fire Department responded to a report of an electricity accident on the 1200 block of Pfingsten Road, and found a ComEd worker’s equipment had inadvertently contacted a 7,200 volt energized transmission line while he was working from a bucket truck.

The worker suffered burns to his head and face during the flash.
