Debit Card Left in ATM Leads to Fraudulent Use

A Coach wallet was also stolen from a parked car on Techny.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Theft

A victim reported using her debit card July 14 at an ATM located in the 1300 block of Shermer Rd. After the transaction she accidentally left the card in the machine. Approximately three hours later, her bank contacted her regarding suspicious activity on her bank account. The police are investigating.

Someone broke a vehicle’s windshield in the 3100 block of Pheasant Creek Drive July 6. The driver side and rear left passenger side of the vehicle were also keyed sometime on July 11.                                      

Credit card fraud

A victim discovered that someone had purchased $102.45 in merchandise from Amazon Prime using his credit card information.

Warrant arrest

Patrick K. Reddish, 53, of the 1000 block of Concord in Island Lake, was one of several subjects who were picketing a worksite in the 2300 block of Shermer Rd on July 15. A name check on the defendant revealed an outstanding warrant from the McHenry County Sheriff.  He was processed and placed in a cell pending pickup by McHenry County Sheriff.  Bond was set at $30,000.

Wallet stolen from car

Someone stole a black Coach wallet from a vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot in the 1700 block of Techny Road. There were no signs of force to vehicle and it was believed the auto was locked at the time of the burglary. The wallet contained $50, a drivers license, three credit cards and various gift cards.
