Elderly Man Dies in Christmas Car Accident
Edward Niewiaroski, of Elmwood Park, died in a car accident on Techny Rd. in Northbrook on Tuesday.
Update Dec. 27 at 1:15 p.m.
An elderly woman was in the car with Edward Niewiaroski when his vehicle struck a utility pole on Techny Rd., according to the Northbrook Fire Department Division Chief, Tim Cassidy. She was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Her relation to Niewiaroski was not confirmed by the fire department.

Edward Niewiaroski, 80, of Elmwood Park, died in a car accident on the 3500 block of Techny Rd. in Northbrook on Tuesday, the Elm Leaves reports.

Niewiaroski was transported to Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, according to the Elm Leaves, where he was pronounced dead at 4:49 p.m.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, Niewiaroski's death was deemed an accident caused by multiple injuries from an automobile and a fixed object.
