At about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, the fire department responded to the 1100 block of Voltz Road for a reported floor collapse with injuries.
Upon arrival, it was determined that a floor inside the home had dropped about 12 inches while occupied. One person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and another person was treated on scene but refused transport.
The structure was deemed uninhabitable by the building department until it could be inspected by a Certified Structural Engineer. The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation.
