The Crowne Plaza Chicago-Northbrook remains open after a fire on Saturday morning.

The Crowne Plaza Chicago-Northbrook hotel remains open after a fire in a mechanical room forced a 45-minute evacuation of the building on Saturday morning, the Daily Herald reports.

Prospect Heights fire fighters extinguished the flames in about 10 minutes and one person was taken to the hospital for an unreported condition, according to the Daily Herald.

The hotel, at 2875 Milwaukee Ave., sits on the Northbrook's western border with Prospect Heights, near the Allison Woods and the Des Plaines River.
