A Winnetka teenager was arrested for criminal damage to property and reckless driving after police said he drove into multiple trash cans at 2:22 a.m.
A teenager got into a traffic accident with another vehicle in Des Plaines. Both drivers got out of their vehicles to survey the damage.
According to police, the teen told the other driver there was nothing wrong with his vehicle, and that he was going to leave. The other driver stood in front of the teen’s vehicle to stop him from leaving, but the teen drove on the median to go around him and struck him in the knee before leaving. The teen was later stopped and charged with battery.
A Skokie resident had hosted a garage sale and had many items left to sell the next day. She covered the items in her front yard with a transparent tarp. They were then stolen.
A 19-year-old was issued a citation for criminal damage to property after police said he vandalized the back door of a Des Plaines restaurant with a black marker. According to police, he said he was picking up job applications and went into the alley to “draw on some things” while he waited for the bus.
