Man Asleep at the Wheel Charged with DUI

He was one of three people charged last week with DUI in Northbrook

The following is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

DUI

Julio Esparza Jr., 21, of Chicago, was found asleep in a vehicle that was stopped in traffic at Founders and Willow roads at 3:15 a.m. May 3. An officer determined that he was under the influence. He was released on $1,000 bond and given a June 17 court date. 

Erin E. Krueger, 50, of Wheeling, was stopped for a traffic violation at Waukegan and Shermer roads at 1:40 a.m. May 4. Officers determined that she was intoxicated. She was charged with DUI and improper lane usage, released on $1,000 bond and given a May 22 court date.

Mark J. Kim, 26, of Northbrook, was stopped for a traffic violation at Dundee and Sanders roads at 1 a.m. May 7. Officers determined that he was intoxicated. He was charged with DUI, no valid driver’s license and improper lane usage, and cited under the local ordinance for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on $3,000 bond with a May 30 court date.
