Man Charged with Defrauding Northbrook Couple of Nearly $500K

The Northbrook couple responded to Peter In Cho's ad seeking real estate investors in a local Korean-language newspaper, Chicago Tribune reported.

As Peter In Cho, 44, formerly of Arlington Heights, waited to report to federal prison on a wire fraud conviction, he defrauded a Northbrook couple of about $470,000 after they responded to his ad seeking real estate investors in a local Korean-language newspaper, Chicago Tribune reported.

Cho was first indicted in 2004 and is currently in federal prison in Duluth, Minn., serving 65 months after pleading guilty in 2007 to 16 counts of wire fraud and is expected to be released in November, the newspaper reported.
