DUI

Officers responded to a citizen’s report of a person slumped over the wheel of his vehicle in the northbound lanes of Skokie Hwy and Dundee Rd at 11 p.m. April 11. In checking on the driver’s condition officers detected the odor of alcoholic beverage and the driver’s behavior indicated to them that he was under the influence. The driver, Minas M. Dankha, 37, of Glenview, was arrested and released on $1,000 bond with a May 8 court date.

Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a white BMW had struck a car and fled west on Dehne Road from Butternut Lane on April 12. Responding officers located the offending vehicle in the front yard in the 2300 block of Dehne with the driver, Alexander Field, 45, of Northbrook, leaning on the vehicle near the trunk. Officers determined that he had struck trees and also driven over lawns prior to colliding with the auto in the intersection. Officers determined that he was under the influence. He was charged with DUI, no valid proof of insurance and transportation of open alcohol. He was released on $1,000 bond with a May 25 court date.
