Manhunt Monday: Have You Seen Jose Mancilla?

Every Monday Patch highlights one of Cook County's most wanted fugitives.

This week’s fugitive focuses on Jose Mancilla, who is wanted on a warrant for aggravated child pornography and possession of film/video.

According to the charge on the Cook County Sheriff's Police website:

"On October 2, 2010, Jose Mancilla was pulled over for a traffic offense and failed to produce a driver’s license or insurance, and was arrested as a result.  During a custodial search, the officer noticed dozens of pornographic pictures of young children, naked and engaged in sexual acts, on Mancilla’s cell phone.  Mancilla also had pornographic videos involving young children in his cell phone movie gallery.  Mancilla said he got the pictures from someone he works with.  Mancilla was taken into custody and charged.  On November 10, 2010, Mancilla failed to appear in court."

Mancilla, 27, is a male white Hispanic, 5-feet-8-inches tall. He has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address was in the 4800 block of South Seeley in Chicago.

Cook County Sheriff’s Police caution the public not to attempt to detain or apprehend fugitives, but to call 911.
