Motorcyclist Flees Police, Drives 40 mph Over Limit

Police tracked a speeding biker to Highland Park.

Speeding more than 40 miles per hour over the limit, a motorcyclist fled Northbrook police for several miles before he was eventually caught in Highland Park.

An officer attempted to stop Nicholas R. Pagano, 22, of Wheeling, shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, after he made an improper left turn on his motorcycle near Skokie Boulevard and the Edens Spur, according to police.

The officer lost sight of Pagano’s yellow motorcycle, but eventually located it behind a building on Skokie Valley Road just over the border in Highland Park.

Pagano was arrested and charged with making an improper left turn, failing to secure registration, speeding 40 miles per hour over the limit, fleeing and eluding police and driving without proof of insurance, police reported.

The item above comes from Northbrook Police Department reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
