EVANSTON

Jefri Wesley Henry, 54, of the 1700 block of Darrow in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in the 500 block of Dodge Avenue at 8:33 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, according to police.

Cuberto Rivera-Ruiz, 48, of the 7200 block of Damen Avenue in Chicago, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at Howard Street and Ridge Avenue at 11:54 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, according to police.

NORTHBROOK

On Dec. 8, officers pulled over Philip A. Sales, 20, of Northbrook, for a traffic violation, according to police. Officers determined the defendant to be

DUI, police say. Sales was placed under arrest, and while being placed into the squad car’s rear seat, he head butted the officer, according to police. He was charged with DUI, Illegal possession and transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage, disobey stop sign, resisting a peace officer and battery, police say.

HIGHLAND PARK

Ryan Cupal, 32, of Libertyville was arrested Sunday and charged with driving under the influence after police responded to a complaint of a subject passed out in a parked vehicle in the 3600 block of Leonard Wood Drive East, according to Highland Park Police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Jan. 10 in Waukegan.

Dorleea Presley, 26 of Waukegan was arrested Saturday and charged with driving under the influence, open transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage after being stopped by police in the 3300 block of Skokie Valley Road, according to Highland Park Police reports. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Jan. 10 in Waukegan.

NILES

George Akhteebo, 26, of Niles was charged with DUI after he was involved in a car crash Nov. 30 just after 3:20 a.m. in the 6500 block of Touhy. Officers said they detected an odor of alcohol on his breath, and due to that and the crash, arrested him. According to the report, Akhteebo became verbally abusive and was speaking a foreign language to his cousin. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. His court date is Dec. 20 in Skokie.

Keith Sleppe, 44, of Mishawaka, Ind. was charged with DUI after Niles police saw him accelerating to cross an intersection as a yellow light turned red on eastbound Oakton at Cumberland, according to the report. He accelerated to 49 mph in a 35 mph zone, they said, and when stopped, police smelled a moderate odor of alcohol on him. He told police he had had two 24-oz. beers at a concert. The incident happened Nov. 30 just before 11:20 p.m. He was cited for speeding and disobeying a traffic signal. His court date is Jan. 15 in Skokie.

LAKE BLUFF

Mauro Juarez-Guadarrama, 54, of the 800 block of South Walnut Street, Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence, improper turning and disobeying a traffic control device at 1:07 a.m. Nov. 29 at Route 176 and Skokie Valley Road. His court date is Dec. 13 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

Ramses Cordova, 28, of the 100 block of South Elm Ave., Waukegan, was charged with driving under the influence and disobeying a traffic control device at 1:56 a.m. Nov. 28 after an officer said he tried to drive over a cement curb to enter northbound Route 41 from the frontage road. His court date is Dec. 13 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

Tracy N. Miller, 37, of the 0-100 block of E. Washington Ave., Lake Bluff, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit and driving without insurance at 12:47 a.m. Nov. 16 after police stopped her for speeding near West Scranton and Rockland Road. Her court date is Dec. 13 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.
