Northbrook Blotter: Classic Flirting Gone Wrong?

That's Good Glass
An officer was dispatched to after a security alarm went off, police said. The store's security company advised that a glass break caused the alarm. Upon arrival, the officer found the lower half of the front door shattered. Police say the door was locked and no-entry had been gained. 

Classic Flirting Gone Wrong?
Someone on the 2400 block of Oak Ave. heard a loud thud against a family room window, police said. The person found cracks in their kitchen window and three small rocks nearby.  

Heavy Metal
Police said a truck was reported stolen from the parking lot. The truck  was carrying about 26,000 pounds of steel beams, valued at $20,000. The combined value of the stolen truck and beams is $60,000.

Some Basketball Fundraisers are Real
James Myers of Chicago was charged with attempted obstruction of justice, according to police. Myers was caught soliciting money for a scam basketball tournament. After taking Myers into custody, police said they found a warrant from Wilmette for the same crime. 

Not a Substitute for Brushing Teeth
According to police, an unknown person(s) put foaming detergent in a water fountain at . The Northbrook Park District was notified.
