Northbrook Blotter: Man Caught in Spandex, Fashion Police Not Called

Who Wears Short Shorts?

Police say they were called to Meadowhill Park when someone observed an unidentified man lying on the cement behind a hill, touching himself with his pants around his knees. Police located a man at the park matching the reported description, wearing only spandex underwear and a t-shirt. The man said he took his pants off after excercising and left them in the car because it was hot outside. Police say they advised the man he is no longer allowed on Northbrook Park District property.

Someone reported two air conditioners, two furnaces, a sink, a sump pump and a table saw stolen overnight from a construction sight on the 3200 block of Lakeside Ave., according to police. Authorities estimate the value of the stolen items is about $41,000.

According to police, Albert Chrzastowski, 18, of Northbrook, was seen walking out of a person's garage with food from a refrigerator that was in the garage. The homeowner detained Chrzastowski until police arrived, who say the suspect was also riding a reportedly stolen bicycle. 

Two Bikes, Two Weeks, Two Thefts, One Garage

Someone reported a men's Pivit Hard Line bicycle was stolen from a garage on the 2500 block of Maple Ave., according to police. Two weeks ago, a men's Trek BMX bicycle was stolen from the same garage, but police say that theft was not immediatly reported.
