Northbrook Blotter: Pot, Heroin and Gift Cards

The following information was supplied by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests or charges do not indicate conviction.

Bad Traffic
Cheri Lynn McKee, 53, of West Hollywood, CA, was determined to be driving with a suspended license. Police said a search of the vehicle revealed a stun gun, several ID’s and various gift cards, among other items. McKee was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, driving with a suspended license and driving without a seatbelt. She was released on bond. A passenger, [Redacted], of Chicago, was charged with two counts of identity theft, unlawful use of a weapon and posession of fraudlent identification. He is awaiting bond court.

Not in the West Side Anymore
Conner Perry, 20, of Northbrook, was found to be in possession of heroin on April 19. Police said he gave a statement that he had purchased heroin on the west side of Chicago. Perry was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A Grass Cocktail
Brooke Stevens, 18, of Lake Forest, called 911 to report that she could not walk or move her legs after consuming alcohol and smoking cannabis, police said. Upon arrival, police said they learned that the one male, Brendan Striegl, 19, of Northbrook, and a second female, Michelle Garland, 18, of Grayslake, had been drinking and smoking cannabis. All were charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor and turned over to parents. Stevens was transported to Glenbrook Hospital with an adult.

Eye Contact
Responding officers said they observed subjects standing in the middle of the roadway. The officers said they detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages and that the subjects and had glassy, blood-shot eyes. They were juveniles and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. All were released to the custody of respective parents.
