Northbrook Blotter: Recovered Drug Paraphernalia and Felony Shoplifting

Also featured: a credit card was stolen to buy jeans. Jeans.

The following information was supplied by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests or charges do not indicate guilt.

Domestic Disturbance

On Sept. 18, a resident on the 3400 block of Lake Knoll Dr. reported his ex-girlfriend banging on his door around 7 a.m., according to police. Responding officers arrested Christine Nguyen, 21, of Chicago, and police say they discovered she had an outstanding warrant from Wood Dale police for harassment.

Hubcaps Stolen

On Sept. 18, someone on the 1400 block of Lake Cook Rd. reported $100 worth of hubcaps where removed from her car, according to police.

Drug Paraphernalia

On Sept. 18, Emily Rogan, 36, of Mundelein, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police. She was found parked in the far back corner of the Sheraton Inn parking lot, and a scene investigation uncovered hypodermic syringes in her car, police say. 

Stolen Credit Card, Couture Denim

On Sept. 19, Ganiat Olorunoje, 25, of Chicago, was charged with theft, according to police. Olorunoje stole a credit card, used it to by jeans at Macy's and forged the card owner's name, police say.  

Felony Retail Theft

On Sept. 19, Vanessa Jackson, 42, of Gurnee, was charged with felony retail theft after she attempted to leave Nordstrom Rack without paying for $1,000 worth of merchandise, according to police.
