Northbrook Blotter: Stolen Hubcaps, Stolen Chairs

The following information was supplied by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests or charges do not indicate guilt.

Long Wait

Christian Helke, 20, of Northbrook, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, according to police. He was first interviewed by police in May when he was driving a car while a passenger threw a syringe out the window. Police say Helke gave them a bag of white powder then and test results revealed the substance was heroin.

Now Would Be a Bad Time to Get a Flat

Police say a vehicle owner reported a spare tire was removed from a car while it was parked at the Renaissance North Shore Hotel. Police believe the tire was removed by cutting the cable holding it to the vehicle.

Not the American Way

Two folding chairs left near Cherry and Western on July 2 as placeholders for the 4th of July parade were taken, according to police.

Faster Than a Pit Crew

Police say four hubcaps were removed from a car parked on the 1500 block of Lake Cook Road.
