Northbrook Crime Blotter: DUI, Drug Arrests

The following information was supplied by the Northbrook Police Department. Arrests or charges do not indicate conviction.

SATURDAY, JUNE 16

DUI

Anthony O’Connor, 42, of Valparaiso, IN was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was pulled over for traffic violations at Shermer  and Willow roads, police said. In addition he was charged with screeching tires, speeding and improper lane usage.

Drug Possession Arrest

Two 17-year-old juveniles, a male from Northbrook and a female from Wheeling, were charged with possession of cannabis after the car they were riding in was stopped for speeding at Dundee Road and Division Street, police said. When officers pulled over the car, they smelled a strong odor of cannabis, and both were found to be in possession of the drug and admitted to drinking. The male, who was driving, also was charged with speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia. The female also was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. They were turned over to the custody of their parents.

DUI

Frederick Waidner, 57, of Northbrook was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was pulled over at Willow Road and Patriot Boulevard for traffic violations, police said. He also was charged with improper lane usage, failure to signal and driving without insurance.

TUESDAY, JUNE 12

Driving on a Suspended License

Juan Roman, 26, of Chicago was charged with driving on a suspended license and speeding after a traffic stop at Dundee Road and Anthony Trail, police said.
