Northbrook Divers Assist In Missing Boater Search

Also featured in this week's blotter, a Honda minivan was stolen during a house burglary.

Missing Boater
At about 3:00 p.m. on Sept. 27, Northbrook Dive Rescue 10 responded to the 1600 block of Sheridan Road on Lake Michigan for the capsized boat, according to a village memo. The entire area was searched by both local Fire Departments and the Coast Guard.

After additional information and a thorough search was conducted, it was determined there were no occupants on the boat.

DUI
On Oct 5, officers arrested Steve Glasberg, 46, of Glencoe, for DUI, improper lane usage, driving with no insurance and failure to signal a turn, after he was stopped for a traffic violation near Dundee Road and Midway Road, according to police. 

Burglary, Car Theft
On Oct. 5, officers responded to a burglary alarm activated on the 2900 block of MacArthur Boulevard, and found a a broken window as well as an unsecure door, according to police. When a security company official arrived, it was determined that a 2003 Honda Odyssey minivan as also stolen, police say.
