Northbrook Hotel Manager A Life Saver

Robert Smith at the Hilton Chicago/Northbrook helped resuscitate a man who collapsed and seemed to have no pulse.


Robert Smith, a manager from the Hilton Chicago/Northbrook Hotel at 2855 N. Milwaukee Ave. received a commendation letter from the Prospect Heights Fire Chief for Smith's role in saving a man's life by administering CPR during a conference the hotel hosted last month, the Daily Herald reports.

"Your quick action shows how important CPR training and proper action by people trained to provide basic life support skills is," the fire department's letter said, after Smith used a resuscitate an 84-year-old man who collapsed and appeared to have no pulse, according to the Daily Herald.
